I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with adults with anxiety and depression, body image concerns, and life transitions, particularly in the prenatal and postpartum periods. Life can feel hectic, exhausting, and scary at times. My goal is to provide you with the tools to successfully cope with life’s challenges so you don’t become overwhelmed or stuck in negative thoughts and behavioral patterns. This is a collaborative process in which I help you gain insight and then empower you to make the necessary changes in your life. Gradually, and with my empathic support, you will progress to a space where things don’t feel so hard, healing happens, and positive growth is possible.
My Approach to Therapy
I bring warmth, unconditional acceptance, authenticity, and (where appropriate) humor to my work. As your therapist, I can:
Help you gain clarity around what is and is not working in your life
Provide you the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals without judgment
Support you in expressing and coping with even the most painful feelings
Provide you the space to step away from the noise of everyday life and focus on yourself
I enjoy helping my clients achieve more balanced, fulfilling lives. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a client walk away from therapy feeling lighter, more self-aware, and hopeful about the future. Being human means being imperfect, emotional, and messy at times, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy all the good that life has to offer!
At Essential Insights Counseling Center, there isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to therapy.
“Every person on earth is both a masterpiece and a work in progress.”

As a Therapist, I Believe:
That emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated
That therapy should address the whole person– body, mind, and spirit
That you can do hard things (like going to therapy)
That you deserve to feel better
That loving and accepting yourself for who you are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous and rewarding things that you can do
My Professional Background
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from Williams College and my Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University. After graduating from Simmons, I worked with adolescents and their families in outpatient and school settings. In 2010, I opened a private practice where I specialized in eating disorders and women’s mental health across the reproductive spectrum. While my approach to therapy is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs, I most frequently use cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches.
It’s time to take the first step towards feeling better. Reach out today and let us know if I may be a good fit for you!
