I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with adults of all ages with a wide range of difficulties, from anxiety, depression, and life transitions, to struggles in relationships, prenatal and postpartum challenges to concerns around self-esteem and identity. I am particularly passionate about serving young adults (18 -29) as they navigate the complex world of adulthood. My goal is to help you stop feeling stuck and unable to move forward and start discovering possible paths to greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence.

My Approach to Therapy

I bring empathy, honesty, and compassion to my work.

As a therapist, I can:

  • Help people identify what they are feeling

  • Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them

  • Be flexible on the path of discovering what’s going on

  • Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances

I enjoy guiding people towards positive changes and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is seeing people move inward and finally claim their voice and recognize their greatness. Sessions with me will provide you with the space to feel what you need to feel so that you'll be able to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. It's important to me to provide an inclusive and affirming space to be yourself and ensure that the process is collaborative.

At Essential Insights Counseling Center, there isn't a "one size fits all" approach to therapy.

Real change is possible, and the therapeutic relationship is one of the ways to cultivate that change. With a strong emphasis on the power of connection, my therapeutic approach relies heavily on in-depth co-collaboration that is holistic, goal-oriented, and unique to you.

“You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.”

As a Therapist, I Embrace the Following Philosophies:

  • I believe that empathy can change the world.

  • I believe that sometimes, small steps in the right direction are the biggest steps in the end.

  • I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work.

  • I believe that you are strong enough to be present with what you may be going through.

  • I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole- their mind, body, and spirit.

My Professional Background
