Exciting Opportunity for LCSW or Pre-Licensed Counselor Who is Interested in Learning About Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health

Are you an LCSW or pre-licensed counselor with a passion for supporting clients through perinatal and postpartum mental health challenges? Do you have experience or a strong interest in this vital area of mental wellness? Essential Insights Counseling Center invites you to join our inclusive and supportive team in a full-time capacity. Based in Hudson, MA, we offer both telehealth and in-person services at The Landing at Hudson Mills.

Work with a dynamic mix of perinatal/postpartum clients and other clients aged 18 and older. Receive clinical supervision from Meg Decker, LICSW, PMH-C, who has completed her certification in perinatal mental health. Gain valuable experience and complete the required 2 years of perinatal/postpartum practice needed for the Perinatal Mental Health Certification while fulfilling your supervised work hours for your independent license!

What You’ll Do:

  • Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for clients aged 18 and older.

  • Collaborative Care: Work with clients to set achievable goals and create personalized treatment plans.

  • Therapy Sessions: Provide therapy through various modalities for individuals, groups, and families.

  • Track Progress: Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

  • Licensure: A current or anticipated Massachusetts license to practice independently.

  • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Ethics: A strong commitment to ethical guidelines and a dedication to continuous professional growth.

Job Requirements:

  • Caseload: Schedule an average of 24 clients per week for full-time, or 15 clients per week for part-time.

  • Meetings: Attend weekly Zoom staff meetings on Wednesdays at 1pm to foster a cohesive and collegial environment.

  • Supervision: Attend individual supervision once per week and group supervision every other week.

  • Evening Sessions: Offer at least two sessions each week at 5pm or later.

  • In-Person Appointments: Provide in-person appointments in our office at least 2 days per week.
